El kit es una Ludwig Vistalite vintage de los años setenta con los toms afinados para gruñir, el bombo no cargado para un mayor peso y las clásicas cajas Suprafónicas de Ludwig en afinaciones medianas y altas. Acompañado de platillos Paiste 2002 en proporciones de rock. El kit fue grabado en un teatro de madera con acústica cavernosa, proporcionando una exuberante reverberación natural. Como de costumbre, no hemos usado nada más que el equipo más fino para capturar el kit, incluidos los micrófonos Neumann, los preamplificadores vintage Neve 1064 y Ward Beck.

Grandioso is about as big as it gets. Turn up the room mic, hit it hard and it will deliver explosive beats with resounding impact. Or back off the room mic and use more moderate dynamics for surprisingly smooth, subtle and detailed grooves. As usual we’ve used nothing but the finest gear to capture the kit including Neumann mics, vintage Neve 1064 and Ward Beck preamps.
The kit is a vintage 1970s Ludwig Vistalite with the toms tuned low for growl, the kick unported for added weight, and the classic Ludwig Supraphonic snares in medium and high tunings. Accompanied with Paiste 2002 cymbals in rock proportions. The kit was tracked in a wooden theatre with cavernous acoustics, providing a lush natural reverberation…Individually controllable mic layers – Close mics, Overheads, Room mics, Smash mic, Kick Sub, and Snare-Bottom.
