Carillon v1-3-0 KONTAKT…Grabar estas campanas de Carillon fue un desafío, pero uno que disfrutamos. Estas son campanas de torre de reloj reales que pesan hasta media tonelada en el set más grande, por lo que es un sonido muy poderoso que capturamos con gran detalle. Una vez que logramos llevar estas campanas grandes al estudio (con la ayuda de un equipo de levantamiento pesado), nos dispusimos a grabarlas con dos tipos de mazos diferentes.

También capturamos una articulación frotada, con un roce sostenido alrededor del exterior de la campana, ya sea el arco de sonido o la cintura, dependiendo del tamaño de la campana. Aunque los timbres fuertes y estoicos aquí son perfectos para golpes dramáticos, también grabamos muchos golpes más suaves que pueden sonar extremadamente melódicos cuando tocas a velocidades más bajas. Con las opciones integradas para dar forma al sonido y articulaciones invertidas, nuestro Carillon terminó siendo mucho más versátil de lo que jamás habíamos imaginado.

Recording these Carillon bells was a challenge, but one which we relished. These are real clock tower bells weighing up to half a ton on the biggest set, so it’s a very powerful sound which we captured in great detail. Once we had managed to get these large bells into the studio (with the help of some heavy lifting equipment) we set about recording them with two different mallet types.
We also captured a rubbed articulation, with a sustained rub around the outside of the bell, either the sound bow or the waist, depending on the size of the bell. Although the strong and stoic timbres here are perfect for dramatic hits, we also recorded plenty of softer strikes which can sound extremely melodic when you play at lower velocities. With the onboard options for sound shaping and reversed articulations, our Carillon ended up being far more versatile than we had ever imagined.
