Hayat Selim (n. 1990) es un compositor y cantautor de cine de El Cairo, Egipto. Se graduó con una maestría en composición para pantalla en el Royal College of Music de Londres y ahora vive en el Reino Unido. Su sencillo, Mirage, el primero en árabe clásico de Fusha, fue nominado en la categoría de Mejor Canción de los premios Jerry Goldsmith Awards 2019 y comenzó a abrir puertas en el canto de Oriente Medio. Hayat escribe música para películas y juegos, a menudo fusionando la orquestación clásica occidental con músicas del mundo, paisajes sonoros atmosféricos y voces. Canta en inglés, alemán, árabe, italiano, latín y francés y ha cantado en búlgaro y hebreo en algunas ocasiones.

Hayat Selim (b.1990) is a film composer and singer-songwriter from Cairo, Egypt. She graduated with a masters in composition for screen from the Royal College of Music, London, and is now based in the UK. Her single, Mirage, her first in classical Fusha Arabic, was nominated in the Best Song category of the Jerry Goldsmith Awards 2019 and started opening doors in Middle Eastern singing. Hayat writes music for film and games, often merging Western classical orchestration with world music, atmospheric soundscapes and vocals. She sings in English, German, Arabic, Italian, Latin and French and has sung in Bulgarian and Hebrew on some occasions.
