Para crear SCARBEE RICKENBACKER® BASS se grabó un Rickenbacker® 4003 con cuerdas Rotosound de acero inoxidable directamente en Pro Tools con cables premium Mogami y un preamplificador Metric Halo LIO-8, garantizándose que cada tono de este bajo legendario se registrara con una calidad prístina. Las articulaciones «picked» disponibles por primera vez en el bajo SCARBEE proporcionan el tono crujiente tantas veces escuchado en discos de rock y pop desde los 60.
SCARBEE RICKENBACKER® BASS se basa en el Rickenbacker® 4003, lanzado en 1980 como sucesor del modelo 4001 y en uso constante desde 1960. Ya famoso como «mix sitter» frente a muchas guitarras, el 4003 mejoró con mucho la respuesta de bajo de la pastilla del cuello de 4001 para darle la respuesta tonal equilibrada que lo hizo conocido.
