Un instrumento innovador en su época y aún buscado hasta el día de hoy, el Prophet VS tuvo mala suerte y su fracaso marcó el final del distinguido legado de Sequential. No hace falta decir que el rango tonal y la gran flexibilidad del Prophet VS fueron brillantes. El motor de síntesis vectorial digital del VS se colocó frente a una ruta de señal completamente analógica con los famosos amplificadores y filtros Curtis que le dieron una calidez increíble y un carácter inconfundible, la paleta de sonidos que eran posibles con él era inmensa.

In the summer of 1986 a renowned American synth manufacturer released a machine with a remarkable new method of constructing sound, that machine was the Sequential Prophet VS and the method was vector synthesis. A ground-breaking instrument in its time and still sought-after to this day, the Prophet VS was ill-fated and its failure signaled the end of Sequential’s distinguished legacy.
Needless to say the tonal range and sheer flexibility of the Prophet VS was brilliant. The digital vector synthesis engine of the VS was placed in front of an all-analog signal path with renowned Curtis amps and filters giving it incredible warmth and an unmistakable character, the palette of sounds that were possible with it was immense.
