Contemporary Soloist Cello KONTAKT…La serie Contemporary Soloists es la culminación de todo lo que hemos aprendido a lo largo de nuestra aventura de muestreo, y realmente representa los ideales y el gusto de Sonixinema. Después de que nos presentaran a Danny y lo escucháramos tocar, supimos que teníamos que reunirnos en el estudio y comenzar con uno de nuestros instrumentos favoritos, el violonchelo.

El instrumento completo captura el tono rico y delicado del violonchelo del siglo XIX de Danny, decidimos elegir una habitación relativamente seca para obtener ese sonido real, cercano y personal que estábamos buscando. Inspirándonos en compositores de películas modernas como Jed Kurzel, Hildur Guðnadóttir y Jóhann Jóhannsson, queríamos capturar no solo una calidad tonal muy particular, sino también algunas articulaciones muy específicas que creemos que representan el panorama musical que se presenta a lo largo de muchas de nuestras películas favoritas.

Contemporary Soloists series is a culmination of everything we’ve learned throughout our sampling adventure, and it truly represents Sonixinema’s ideals and taste. After being introduced to Danny and hearing him play, we knew we had to get together in the studio and start with one of our favourite instruments, the Cello.
The full instrument captures the rich and delicate tone of Danny’s 19th Century Cello, we decided to choose a relatively dry room, to get that real up close and personal sound that we were looking for. Inspired by modern film composers such as Jed Kurzel, Hildur Guðnadóttir and Jóhann Jóhannsson, we wanted to capture not only a very particular tonal quality, but also some very specific articulations which we feel represent the musical landscape that is featured throughout many of our favourite film scores.
